History
Intrigued by the strong presence and words of a U.S. military veteran who attended the 2016 military uniform photo exhibit and introduced himself as "I am a U.S. Marine who fought in the Korean War," I began to wonder why he was so proud of his service in a war that ended more than 60 years ago. Driven by my curiosity, I visited him in person and was able to learn about his personal motivations, genuine sincerity, and the enduring lesson that "freedom is not free. Recognizing the importance of documenting their stories while there was still time, I was determined to thank them and record their invaluable experiences for future generations to appreciate.
